System Requirements for Sonnet Lite - Release 10

PC Windows Only:

• Pentium processor or compatible
• Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional (Win98/NT are not tested)
• 32 MB RAM minimum
• 90 MB disk space for application
• Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.1 or above for documentation

PC Windows:

• Pentium processor or compatible (the faster the better)
• Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional (Win98/NT are not tested)
• 32 MB RAM minimum (more memory means more capability)
• 125 MB disk space for application
• Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.1 or above for documentation
• TCP/IP installed on your PC
• Note: Novell Netware is not supported.

Suggested Hardware Configurations for Sonnet Professional on x86 Processor Systems

• Intel Pentium 4 650 3.6 GHz or higher processor with Hyper-Threading, EM64T, and 1MB cache– faster processors result in lower simulation time
  or
  Pentium D 830 3.0 GHz dual-core (for efficient multitasking; see note* below). 

• Intel 955 chipset

• Dual-Channel RAM, PC2 4200 DDR2 533 MHz

• Recommend 2 GB RAM (suggest 4 GB RAM for transition to 64-bit)

• Hard Disk: 7200 RPM drive with 8 MB Cache recommended, size is not critical

• Graphics Card: Any OpenGL-compatible adapter

• AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4 GHz (or higher) with HTT technology, x86-64 and 1MB cache 
  or  
  AMD Athlon X2 4400+ 2.2 GHz dual-core (for efficient multitasking; see note* below)

• nVidia nForce4 chipset

• Dual-Channel Ram, PC3200 DDR 400mhz RAM

• Recommend 2 GB RAM (suggest 4GB RAM for transition to 64-bit)

• Hard Disk: 7200 RPM drive with 8 MB Cache recommended, size is not critical

• Graphics Card: Any OpenGL-compatible adapter

^*Note: Sonnet does not use the second processor of a dual-core or multi-processor machine. Dual-core and multi-processor machines are only recommended if the computer is going to be used for other tasks while running Sonnet jobs.
