Get Hostid with Sonnet not yet Installed
If you have not yet installed Sonnet, then you may obtain the hostid using the instructions in the table below:

Hardware Platform	Type this command on the license server:	Example
HP-UX	echo `uname -i` 16o p | dc NOTE: ` back quotes are usually found on the tilde key (~) 16o a one and a six followed be a lower case "o"	778DA450
Sun Solaris	hostid	170a3472

Suggestion: use copy and paste to enter the HP-UX command.

Get Hostid with Sonnet Installation Already Completed
If you have already installed the software from Sonnet on the license server, then you may obtain the hostid by logging on to the license server and typing:

sonnet

When the Sonnet task bar appears on your display select Admin => Host ID from the main menu. An output window appears which displays the Host ID.
