The Advanced License Options dialog box is opened when you click on the Advanced button in the License dialog box.

Normally, the emailed license file you cite in the License dialog box  is copied to a default location

<Sonnet Directory>\licenses\sonnet.lic

where <Sonnet Directory> is the directory in which Sonnet is installed. If you wish to place the license file used by the License Manager in another location, enter the desired destination for the license file when it is copied in the Destination License File text entry box.

NOTE: If you do not have administrator privileges when you change the location of the license file, the FLEXnet registry is NOT updated with the new location of the license file; it will still point at the default location. If you start the license manager from lmtools (Admin => Lmtools), the license manager uses the wrong license file. In this case, you get the following error:

The license file being used by Sonnet is different than the one specified in the lmtools program. See the "Config Services" tab.

If you are using the FLEXnet license manger, you typically would want these two files to be the same. The Sonnet license file may be set in the License dialog box. You should log in as administrator before you attempt to update the "Config Services" settings in lmtools.
