Curve => Add Curve Group
Response Viewer Menu - Add Curve Group Dialog Box - Curve Menu
Selecting Curve => Add Curve Group opens the Add Curve Group dialog box which allows you to select a curve group from your project file(s) for display. The appearance of the dialog box differs depending on the type of analysis run on the project file. If your analysis included a parameter sweep or optimization, more options are available in the dialog box. Items only available for parameter sweeps and optimizations are noted below.
If you wish to add input another project file to the response viewer, see File => Add File.
For a definition of a curve group, see the Response Viewer Overview.
TIP: The Add Curve Group dialog box is also accessed by right-clicking on a blank area in the Curve Group legend, then choosing Add Curve Group from the pop up menu which appears on your display. If you click in the left axis pane, the data is added to the left axis. If you click in the right axis pane, the data is added to the right axis. You may also double-click in either pane area to open the Add Curve Group dialog box.
Project:
If only one project file has been opened, then it appears as the default
in the Project drop list. If you have opened multiple projects in the
response viewer, select the desired project file from the drop list for
which you wish to set up a curve group.
Data
Collection: Select Standard or Optimized from the drop
list on the left. This drop list is only enabled for an optimization analysis.
If Standard is chosen, a list of parameters and the Select Parameters
button appear in the dialog box. If Optimized is selected, then
a list of iteration values and the Select Iterations button appear
in the dialog box.
To use de-embedded data, select De-Embedded from the drop list on the right. To use non-de-embedded data, select Not De-Embedded from the drop list on the right. This drop list is only enabled if both types of data are available in the project file.
Group
Name: You may input a custom curve group name in the Group Name text
entry box. If not the default name is used. The default name is the name
of the project with an incremental number added if multiple curve groups
have been selected from the same project.
Y-Axis
Selection: You may chose which y-axis to display
this curve group on. Click on the desired radio button, Left or Right,
to place the data on the left or right Y-axis, respectively.
Note : Each curve group is associated with only one y-axis. If you wish to display data on both axes, you must create at least two curve groups.
Data
Type: Select the desired data type from the drop list. Choices include:
S-Parameters, Y-Parameters, Z-Parameters,
Zin,
Loss Factor, GMax,
VSWR,
Port
Z0, and Port
Eeff.
Data
Format: Select the desired data format from the drop list. Choices
include: Magnitude in dB, Magnitude, Phase in degrees, Real component,
Imaginary component.
Unselected:
This scroll list contains a list of curves in the project file which
are not presently displayed on the graph.
Selected:
This scroll list contains a list of all curves which you want to display
on the graph for this curve group.
To move an item between the scroll lists, select it and click an arrow, or double-click the item.
Parameter Combinations
NOTE: If no parameters are defined in the project, then no parameter combinations are available and this section of the dialog box does NOT appear. Parameter Combinations appear when Standard is selected for Data Collection.
Parameter Combinations: The presently selected parameter combinations are shown in the scroll list. To change the parameter combinations, click on the Select Combinations button. This will open the Select Parameters dialog box and allow you to add and/or delete parameter combinations from the curve group.
Optimization Iterations
NOTE: If an optimization has not been performed on this project, then the Data Collection drop list is disabled and this section of the dialog box does NOT appear. Optimization Iterations appear when Optimized is selected for Data Collection.
Optimization Iterations: The presently selected optimization iterations are shown in the scroll list. To change the optimization iterations, click on the Select Iterations button. This will open the Select Parameters dialog box and allow you to add and/or delete optimization iterations from the curve group.
