Project => Manage => Unpack

Sonnet Task Bar - Project Menu - Project Manage Menu

Selecting Project => Manage => Unpack from the main menu of the Sonnet task bar opens the Unpack Project dialog box. This dialog box allows you to unpack a project from a Sonnet archive file, created using the Pack command, into the directory of your choice.

To unpack a project from a Sonnet archive file, do the following:

1.   Select Project => Manage => Unpack from the Sonnet task bar main menu.

The Unpack Project dialog box appears on your display.

2.   Enter the directory in which the archive file(s) you wish to unpack are located.

If you do not wish to enter the file directly, you may also click on the Browse button to open a browse window which allows you to select a file on your computer. Using the browse window updates both the Directory and Project(s) text entry boxes.

3.   Enter the name of the existing project(s) that you wish to unpack in the Project(s) text entry box in the From section of the Unpack Project dialog box.

If you input multiple file names, separate the file names using a comma (,) semi-colon (;) or space. If the file name contains a space, then the name should be enclosed in quotes, i.e., ''Comb filter.zon''.

You may select a single file to unpack, or multiple files to unpack. Note that by holding down the Control key, you may select multiple project files in the browse window.

4.   If you wish to unpack the archive files in the same directory in which they are presently located, click on the Use ''From'' Directory radio button.

When you click on the Unpack button, the archive files entered in the Project(s) text entry box are unpacked in the same directory in which the archive is located. Go to Step 8.

5.   If you wish to unpack the archive files in a different directory than the archive file is in, click on the Use This Directory radio button.

This enables the text entry box just below.

6.   Enter the directory where you want the archive files unpacked in the text entry box below the radio buttons.

If you do not wish to enter the directory directly, you may also click on the Browse button to open a browse window which allows you to select a directory on your computer.

7.   The selected directory is displayed in the To section of the dialog box. The archive files are unpacked in the destination directory.

For example, if you select ''steps.zon'' and ''filter.zon'', two projects, ''steps.son'' and ''filter.son'' and any accompanying files are written to the destination directory.

8.   Click on the Unpack button to execute the unpack.

This executes the unpack command on the specified files. Messages indicating the progress of the unpack are displayed in the Unpack Project dialog box.

9.   When the unpack is complete, click on the Close button to close the Unpack dialog box.

You may perform multiple unpacks before closing the dialog box.
