Floating License (Purchase or Evaluation)

Admin - License

You should log onto the license server , open the Sonnet task bar, and select Admin => License from the task bar menu. You will need to do so from an account which has write permission to the Sonnet directory.

You should select ”local” in the license dialog box, browse for the license file sent to you and click OK. This will copy the license file into the Sonnet directory. You will need to start up the license manager. Please refer to the appropriate Installation manual for your platform for instructions on starting the license manager. The Installation manuals are available in PDF format, by selecting Help => Manuals from any Sonnet program, or click on the Manuals button on the Sonnet task bar.

Each user on a client machine should open the Sonnet task bar, and select Admin => License from the task bar menu. When the dialog box opens, select the "Remote" radio button and type in the name of the license server. If the user is logged onto the license server, select local. This user does not need to browse for the license file.
