How do I add a via?

You add vias to your circuit using the Tools => Add Via menu. The first step is to select a direction for your via. The via may extend one level upward, one level down, or down to ground. Once a direction is selected, it is the default for any new vias added until a new direction is selected. Shown below is the Add Via menu with Down One Level selected. All vias added to the circuit will extend from the present level downward to the next level.
Once a direction is selected, you use one of the first five commands in the menu to add a via. Click on the command below to obtain details about adding that type of via.
