How do I determine the terminal width of my component?
Creating/Editing Geometry Projects - Geometry Elements
Terminal width is the electrical contact width of the component. Which type of terminal width you choose for your Component depends on the way in which you want to model your current flow. Entering a terminal width allows you to put multiple components on the same polygon edge and to accurately model the current flow from the circuit geometry into the component. The terminal width is selected in the Component Properties dialog box.
This sets your terminal width to match the length of the polygon edge to which the component is attached. This option should be used when there is only one component on a polygon edge and the polygon edge is not significantly larger than the component. An example of too wide a feedline is pictured below. Look in the component assistant for an illustration of a correct feedline.

This sets your terminal width to the smallest possible size of one cell wide.

This option allows you to enter a known electrical contact width. A illustration of two components with User Defined terminal widths is shown below.
