How do I make a via cross multiple layers?
Geometry Elements - Vias
To create a via which connects across multiple dielectric layers and metalization levels, do the following:
1. Create a via which extends downward one level on the desired source metal level.
2. Right-click on the via and select ''Properties'' from the pop-up window which appears on your display.
If the via is an edge via, you need to right-click on one of the via triangles. If the via is a via polygon, right-click anywhere on the polygon. When you select properties, the Via Properties dialog box appears on your display.

Since you created the original via on the desired starting metal level, you do not have to change the From Level drop list.
3. Select the desired destination level either by selecting the number of metal levels to cross from the Level(s) drop list or the destination metal level from the To Level drop list.
4. Click on the OK button to close the dialog box and apply the changes.
The via now appears on the source and destination metal levels and all metal levels in between.
