How does changing the units affect my circuit?

You can control how changing the units affects your circuit. You can choose to keep the number of units the same or keep the same physical size.

If you choose to keep the same number of units then 10 mm would become 10 cm when you converted from cm to mm. To keep the same number of units, you would do the following:

1. Select Circuit => Units from the main menu of the project editor.

2. Click on the Length drop list and select the desired length unit from the drop list.

3. Click on the Maintain Value radio button to keep the same number of units.

4. Click on the OK button to close the dialog box and apply the changes.

If you choose to maintain the physical size, the 10 mm would become 1 cm, the physical size of the circuit would not change. To keep the same physical size, do the following:

5. Select Circuit => Units from the main menu of the project editor.

6. Click on the Length drop list and select the desired length unit from the drop list.

7. Click on the Maintain Physical radio button to keep the same size circuit.

8. Click on the OK button to close the dialog box and apply the changes.
