What are the recommendations for a 64-bit machine?
Sonnet features a 64-bit processing analysis engine which is automatically installed when you do your Sonnet installation. Using the 64-bit processing requires that you have a 64-bit operating system.
If you plan to operate Sonnet on a 64-bit operating system, we recommend the following:
Processor: x86_64 Architecture (Intel EMT64 and AMD Athlon64 and Opteron). Note that Sonnet will not run on the Intel Itanium processor since it can not run 32-bit programs.
RAM: 4GB memory recommended
Operating System:
Windows: Windows XP 64 bit x64 edition or Windows 2003 64 bit x64 editions.
Linux: Redhat Enterprise 4 (64 bit) or SuSE Linux Professional 10.0 (64 bit)
Please note that if you are running a 32-bit version operating system, you will not be able to access more than 2 GB of RAM.)
