What's the difference between a terminal and a port on a component?

The terminal number on the schematic box of the component represents the terminal of the component you are modeling whose connection to your circuit you define by placing a Component port. The Component port is the point in your circuit at which the terminal on the component is connected to the metalization in your circuit.
